    Engineering project for the optimisation of the serum plant of a cheese manufacturer.
    In Phase 1, an in-depth study of the original installation was carried out and, together with the client, the objectives were defined, which were the complete separation of the whey from different types of cheese so that the highest quality whey could be extracted in order to pass through the following stages of the process until the whey powder was obtained.
    In the development of the project, the following tasks were carried out:
    o Existing P&IDs of the entire line in addition to the marking of the proposed solution.
    o List of equipment and components in use.
    o Modification proposal with equipment, instruments and approximate dimensioning of lines.
    o Functional description of automation and process.
    o Electrical description with modifications in control and power hardware and field wiring.
  • Benefits provided to the client:
    The customer obtained an optimised design of its serum recovery plant that allows this company to revalue this by-product by increasing the economic output.
